Litigation Paralegal
Background
Zuhair ("Zac") Chauhan joins Justly Prudent as a Litigation Paralegal, bringing over 14 years of legal and client services experience spanning bankruptcy law, consumer law, criminal law, and debt collection. A graduate of Dewan Law College with an LL.B./J.D.-equivalent degree, Zac combines formal legal education with extensive hands-on experience supporting attorneys and clients across a wide range of complex legal matters.
Zac most recently served as a Bankruptcy Paralegal for a Michigan-based law firm, where he managed the full lifecycle of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases—from client intake and document gathering through emergency petition filings, Means Test preparation, and trustee coordination. His proficiency with PACER, ECF filing, and case management systems, along with his meticulous approach to compliance with the Bankruptcy Code and local court requirements, ensured seamless case progression and client confidence throughout the process.
Prior to his work in bankruptcy, Zac developed specialized expertise as a Legal Assistant in debt relief and consumer law, supporting clients through creditor disputes, validation requests, and settlement negotiations. His strong working knowledge of the FDCPA, FCRA, and TCPA—combined with experience reviewing credit reports, identifying regulatory violations, and drafting letters of representation, dispute letters, and settlement offers—reflects a deep commitment to protecting consumers' rights. Earlier in his career, Zac honed his analytical and research skills as a Legal Research Associate in criminal law, and built a foundation in negotiation and compliance as a collections specialist.
Zac's combination of rigorous legal training, broad practical experience, and a client-centered approach aligns with Justly Prudent's mission of delivering compassionate and effective legal representation. His ability to manage high-volume caseloads while maintaining exceptional attention to detail makes him a valuable addition to the firm's litigation support team.
