María Ramirez

Litigation Paralegal

Background

María Camila Ramírez Uribe joins Justly Prudent as a Litigation Paralegal. Qualified as a lawyer in Colombia, she earned her law degree from Universidad de los Andes, one of Colombia's leading law schools, and a Master's in Cultural Studies from KU Leuven in Belgium.

Before joining the firm, she served as an asylum paralegal at Alexandra Lozano Immigration Law, where she conducted trauma-informed client interviews, drafted legal declarations and affidavits, and prepared attorney-ready case files in matters involving domestic violence, family separation, and protection-based claims. As a junior lawyer at Chemás & Asociados, she performed legal research for submissions before Colombia's Constitutional Court, Supreme Court, and Council of State, and she drafted petitions, pleadings, and procedural filings. Earlier in her career, at Legal Tape, she advised clients on copyright and trademark matters and drafted contracts and licensing agreements.

She brings to Justly Prudent a strong foundation in legal writing, case file management, and evidence review, along with extensive experience supporting vulnerable populations in high-volume, remote environments.
